We help you develop and implement strategies to manage your information. Information is critical to your business, our job is to help ensure you are managing information as a business “asset”. This means creating and using systems to gather and manage that information asset actively and well. For example, creating systems to help everyone find the most up to date information they need, when they need it and from wherever they may be at the time. Typically this will fall within the following areas:

  • Strategy
Your roadmap towards an outcome. What is your business/organisation aiming to achieve; what are its goals and the outcomes it seeks? And what role does information and its management play in that. We help you focus on this and build on what you’ve got, or start afresh if needed. This might mean new technology, new skills for staff, or new ways of managing and working in teams. Think about this definition of elucidate - "to make lucid [clear], especially by explanation or analysis", Merriam-Webster.

  • Document management
How to categorise information, where to store it, the most efficient ways to retrieve digital and hardcopy files, and when and how to archive information.

  • Internal communication
Using online collaboration tools, staff intranets, email management and instant messaging as part of a broad information management and communication approach, even including some simple shared project management tools.

  • External communication
For example, content plans and execution for websites, Facebook and Twitter.

  • Project Management
Many clients engage us to roll out their information strategies, or we might come in part way through a project – such as a stalled cloud server transition. We are experts at facilitating team discussion, developing and sticking to project timelines and coaching people for positive change.

  • Outsourced content management and auditing
Some of our clients prefer to outsource services – such as website content management, social media or regular checkups (audits) to ensure processes are being followed. In these cases we establish an agreed fee and then proactively gather information from your team.

We are experienced and proficient in the following software. We have excellent professional networks, so we can bring in additional advisers if necessary. We can also source and evaluate software options as required, such as:

  • Twitter
  • Facebook
  • Evernote
  • Trello

  • SharePoint
  • Google Drive
  • Dropbox
  • Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
